Both the illegal broadcast towers and the spore spewers that blanket the planet in fog can be destroyed as soon as you start a mission. If that's not a concern, then fire away with anything long-range and explosive that you have. Regular guns work as well, , but doing it with a rocket launcher is more satisfying.
